Special Topics courses introduce unique yet vital complementary health care topics for students throughout their medical education. Highlighted in these courses are the topics of nutrition and exercise as medicine and BUCOM’s longitudinal ultrasound track. These topics not only stand alone as integral parts of the curriculum but are also integrated into concurrent courses throughout the OMS-I and OMS-II years to build the students’ comprehension of their importance to the practice of osteopathic medicine.
