State Authorization
Baptist Health Sciences University is authorized to offer distance education programs and/or courses by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission and as member of the federally recognized National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA). Baptist University is allowed to offer distance education in states who are also members of NC-SARA. Professional Licensure Disclosure
Baptist Health Sciences University Nursing and Allied Health programs meet the requirements for state professional licensure (where applicable) and certification in the state of Tennessee. While the Nursing and Allied Health programs at Baptist University are designed to meet national certification requirements, there can be variability in other states’ requirements for professional licensure.
Professional licensure and/or certification requirements may change on a continuing basis. To comply with federal regulation 34 CFR 668.43(a) (5) (v) and 34 CFR 668.43 (c), Baptist Health Sciences University has made its best effort to determine whether our curriculum meets each state’s educational requirements for licensure. We also strongly advise students to contact the State’s licensure office (if applicable) or professional agency to review all requirements imposed by the state in which they intend to practice upon graduation. Students may also contact the department and/or program director who oversees their academic program of interest for additional information about licensure and certification requirements.

BHSU Expands Annual HealthCORE STEM Summer Camp to Include Middle Schoolers
Baptist Health Sciences University (BHSU) and Baptist Memorial Health Care hosted 52 high school students and 26 middle school students from the tristate area for the third HealthCORE STEM Summer Camp.
