Citizenship/Residency Requirement

Applicants to Baptist University must comply with the citizenship/residency requirements. Applicants must either be a United States citizen or a Permanent Resident. Evidence of English proficiency is a mandatory part of the application process. All applicants whose native tongue is not English will be required to submit a TOEFL score as part of their admissions requirement. For applicants whose native tongue is not English and who have graduated from a U.S. high school, the TOEFL will not be required.

If an applicant has extenuating circumstances regarding this requirement, a request for review must be submitted to the Admissions Office.

 

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) measures the ability of students whose native tongue is not English as it is spoken, written, and heard in college/university settings. Students who have TOEFL scores over two years old will be required to submit new scores. The TOEFL is provided by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
