Baptist University College of Osteopathic Medicine 2026 Med Gala

2026 Med Gala

On Friday, March 13, Baptist Health Sciences University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine traded textbooks for tuxes and gowns at the 2nd Annual Med Gala held at the Renasant Convention Center in downtown Memphis. The evening was a joyful celebration of community, vision, and the bright future of our next generation of physicians.

Students came together to relax, celebrate, and make lasting memories after a season of rigorous study. Nakia Chappelle captured the spirit of the evening: “The Med Gala reminds us how important fellowship and community truly are. We spend so much of our time focused on academics, so having a night to come together, look our best, and simply enjoy one another is invaluable.”

This year’s masquerade ball theme added an extra layer of excitement, giving students the chance to dress up, be creative, and enjoy a night of elegance and fun. Ryan Williams reflected on the celebration: "It was great to see everyone come out and have fun together after 4 exams of hard work! The theme was fun and everything came out great!”

Students were recognized with certificates honoring their accomplishments from the past year. Attendees enjoyed delicious food, danced with friends, and celebrated each other’s achievements throughout the night.

Congratulations to the College of Osteopathic Medicine on a wonderful Med Gala! Here’s to many more nights of celebration and to the incredible work ahead as you continue your journey to becoming compassionate, skilled physicians.
