Neurodiagnostic Technology Week: Declared by Memphis Mayor Paul Young

NDT Proclamation Post

Neurodiagnostic Technology Week: Declared by Memphis Mayor Paul Young

Neurodiagnostic Week, April 19 – 25, invites all technologists and health care professionals to highlight the human connections, teamwork, and community that keep neurodiagnostics moving forward. This year’s theme is People & Connections.

This year marks the first year it has been officially recognized by the City of Memphis. Thanks to the efforts of Mallory Weichel, Clinical Coordinator at Baptist University, a proclamation request was submitted to Mayor Paul Young with support from ASET, The Neurodiagnostic Society.

Ms. Weichel said the proclamation recognizes the vital role neurodiagnostic technologists play in health care and serves as encouragement for students and alumni. She explained the proclamation’s purpose:

“This was to recognize how important our profession is in health care. I also wanted to inspire my current students working diligently in clinical and encourage the alumni as they prepare for their board exam. We are working toward a future of fully credentialed, confident, and compassionate Neurodiagnostic Technologists who not only excel in their clinical skills but also serve as strong advocates for their patients and for the NDT profession.”

Baptist Health Sciences University extends its gratitude to Mallory Weichel for her leadership and dedication in securing official recognition for Neurodiagnostic Technology Week in Memphis. Her work highlights the profession’s commitment to patient care, education, and professional excellence.
