BHSU Alumni Lunch at Baptist Collierville
Baptist Health Sciences University held a luncheon at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville on Thursday, May 18. The luncheon was held to thank Baptist graduates, current students, and those who work with future healers for their dedication to the Baptist family. The aim was to provide a place where everyone could rediscover their love of health care while reconnecting with one another.
The BHSU mascot, Hartley, made an appearance at the luncheon. For many alums, it was their first time seeing the mascot in person. The 35 attendees received a thank-you gift from the BHSU Alumni Association, which included a branded alumni t-shirt. Participants ranged from the graduating class of 1984 to recent graduates from the April class of 2023.
Zac Cox, Relationship Marketing Coordinator, is very appreciative of the support from Debby Michael, Human Resource Manager, since the event took place the day before her well-earned retirement. He would also like to thank Lindsay Stencel, Baptist Memorial Hospital–Collierville Administrator and CEO, and Denise Ferguson, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville Chief Nursing Officer, for supporting and attending the event.
During the luncheon, team members discussed that almost all of the sonography team at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville are comprised of BHSU alumni. One current sonography student who attended the event stated that the department's alumni serve as a model for what the program can do for her.
