Fall into BHSU Homecoming 2023

3 students at BHSU Homecoming

The fall season has arrived in Memphis and Baptist Health Sciences University celebrated it with their second Homecoming event. The event was held on the second weekend of October, allowing current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their families to reunite on campus.

Homecoming began with a free concert from Morgan James at Overton Park Shell on Friday, October 6th. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their families enjoyed the concert while feasting on Central BBQ.

The fall festivities continued at the Campus Hub lot on Saturday, October 7th. In the sunny 78-degree fall weather, over 125 Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their families socialized at the Campus Hub. There were a variety of activities for the entire family to enjoy, including face painting, bouncy houses, a balloon artist, a photo booth, and a pumpkin patch.

Inside the Campus Hub, participants had the opportunity to meet with their program faculty members who were participating in a contest of their own. Each program at BHSU was asked to participate in a Best in Show competition to showcase their program in the most creative way celebrating fall, homecoming, and BHSU. The winner of the competition will be determined by an anonymous survey taken by the participants of Homecoming and will be announced later this week.

In addition to the competition, there were tables to eat and watch football, and program setups around the perimeter to connect with classmates. The Homecoming ended on a high note with a pumpkin patch on the lawn where participants could take a piece of BHSU fall home.

God's Blessings

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
